The radio session took place during a previously undocumented time during TBEFP's varied history and line-up, as an instrumental electric 4-piece. Prior to this was their 'Folk Songs' project with James Yorkston (on Domino Recs), and shortly before the group moved in a vocal-led psychedelic pop direction (the LPs 'Oh!' and 'The Disappointed Chair' (on Home Assembly and Sonido Polifonico respectively).

The set features material ranging from their debut ('The Boo Girl' from 2000's Big Eyes Songs) to their eighth album ('Striptease' from 2009's Warm Room), all reworked for the quartet.
