The Effigy In An Infinity Mirror

by Black Hair Rolled In Dried Blood

hello swirl Each track has many short music poems written with electronic music instruments, which is a common artistic approach by Black Hair...

These poems are often interesting and bring out many thoughts and feelings. They also feel to me that Black Hair... could attempt planned compositions that are more complex. It would take more time and struggle, but it could be interesting. Favorite track: Moving Together, Falling Apart (A Seance With Katherine Oppenheimer At A Vestige From The Ranch School).

about

Katherine Oppenheimer has just fixed herself another loaded vodka martini.

As she gently stirs the contents of the highball glass, her thoughts wander as she observes the unique view of the New Mexico desert through the parlour window of the vestry. It reminds her of an imaginative connection to the lunar diaspora – alien, isolated and alone. The profound emptiness of being.

Her world meanders momentarily into a vision of her own existence. Of a sense of being the only one.

But unique in what way?

The party has extended well into the early hours of the morning. In a moment before something significant happens, her world shatters into shards of silver.

In Katherine Oppenheimer’s pre-existing moment, the shadows she observes in the landscape dissolve into dust. What evidence there is clinging onto what is perceived as reality is obliterated into imagination. A stuff and shape that can no longer be touched, only felt, like the brush of an anonymous stranger against bare flesh.

The souls of an almighty light triggered by Armageddon.

In the moment of Katherine Oppenheimer’s heightened awareness, her being is blurred and bathed in a field of colour. Time has stood still. Her soul suspended between dimensions as she cradles her rebirth.

Katherine Oppenheimer has just fixed herself another loaded vodka martini. She gently stirs the contents of the highball glass and then turns to return to her guests in the main reception room.

Outside, there are gentle lights in the sky of oblivion as glitter descends.
